My heart beats at million beats per minute.
Maybe it’s a total exaggeration,
But this is how I feel,
My heart racing out of control,
And I’m choking on the very air we breath.
I gasp, and try to catch a breath,
But all air does is suffocate.
I hold myself tight and rock myself,
“Everything will be fine,” I lie.
As tears run down my face,
And icy chills creep in,
I pray this feeling fades away,
But it’s one thing that never goes.
It’s one thing that stays familiar,
In this ever-changing world.

this is what it like feels to have chronic asthma, maybe you mean the covid virus though. Very expressive poem.
I really don’t know what I meant. Maybe anxiety or simply fear… Just a very bad feeling. π€ͺπ€
Uh, is this poem about a panic attack or something? π€
Nonetheless, youβve done a great job with the poem!
Yep! Something like that. π¬π¬π€π€

How are you, Dave? Better now?
Aw, Shreya.. thank you for asking. No, not much. There will be tests and uncomfortable things happening to me next week to discover the problem. It’s still ongoing, but I am hopeful for a solution soon. I hope you are healthy and happy today, sweetheart. π
It’s totally fine if you don’t want to disclose all the nitty gritty of your problem… But keep me updated. I really hope you get better soon. I’m happy and healthy today. π€π€ππ Sending you loads and loads of love. β₯οΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ

This post is interesting and deep. I think in this poem, you have beautifully captured what can be termed βanxiety, panic attackβ etc. Truly, these things are difficult to go through, no lies. I know what it feels like to struggle with what felt like a mental illness that only a few truly understood. I can relate to some of the information listed here. I know how it can be. To whoever is reading this comment, I want you to know that everything will be ok. Things will get better, so think positive. Also pray to God. God is our creator, and who can understand the creation more than the creator? No one. God knows us and our brokenness, he knows how to help us. A continued relationship with God is a great way to have a strong shoulder to lean on. God is not a myth, God is as real as the air we breathe. If you seek him in truth, you will find him.
I will leave you with this bible verse:
God says in Isaiah 41:10
βFear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.β
If you are interested in building a relationship with God, I have a post that can help here: https://christcenteredruminations.wordpress.com/2018/08/29/how-to-build-a-relationship-with-god/
You can start small and work your way up if the information contained in the post is too overwhelming. If you want continued articles on God, faith, and spirituality, then follow my blog for more content. That way you will see as I upload posts.
Stay strong.
May God bless you, Amen. π
Thank you so much, dear! It truly means a lot to me. I do believe in God. It’s nice to believe. Cause when you believe, you’ve something to hold on to even if everything is going wrong. Thank you!
Thank you too for such great faith. May God be with you, Amen.
