The Letter ‘S’

Poetry, Writer life

The letter S, I believe,
Is the prettiest of letters.
Makes the perfect swirl,
Like a ballet dancer’s twirl.
Have you seen it in cursive?
Oh, so elegant S!
It has a style of its own,
Oh, such a suave!
It seems as if it has a message,
Embedded within a single letter.
Stories of life & time,
Stories of soul & eternal love;
Like each curve represents,
The ups and downs of life,
Of journeys taken and yet to come,
It is a poetry on its own.
Oh, how I love the letter S!
Oh, so pretty S!

For NaPoWriMo Day 23.

    1. Haha, Stuart! I’ve my biases towards the letter ‘S’ too. πŸ™ˆπŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ’•β€οΈ Cheers to the letter ‘S’. 🌹

  1. Beautiful words in such an elegant form! Well written. This is the height of creativity, to take the mundane and everyday, and place it in a different light. To find the beauty hiding in the world around us. Remember this poem when you struggle to write, for there is beauty, elegance, and truth all around you, and you have found a lovely way to share it. Much love! β€πŸ˜˜πŸ’•

    1. Thank you so much Brad!! πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ I don’t know what else to say… If not for your constant motivation, I don’t if I’d be still blogging or would have disappeared like twice before πŸ˜… πŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸŒΉ Much love.

    1. Thank you so much dear. Are you being biased as you name starts with ‘S’? I admit being biased. πŸ™ˆπŸ€—πŸ€— I’m so glad you liked it. Much love. ❀️😘

  2. I love how you let your reader(s+voice =z) sssee the ballet dancer twirling as they think about the smooth and silky letter s. Gorgeous. S initiates. It needs to combine with other sounds to mean more. It can be the ssstart of of a story or a mystery or a dream or it can sssuddenly come to a ssstop! It makes me think of danger and daring. S unravels and leads to unspecified pleasure sometimes. Your poem shimmers and sparkles with possibilities.

    1. Thank you so much Xavier. I can never seem find words worthy of replying to your compliment and comments. Sending you much love. πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•β€οΈβ€οΈ

  3. Anyone can be convinced with the kind of stuff that you write.
I mean so many thoughts embedded in a poetry.
And the letter S is significant in itself, as it stands for Shreya, the beautiful one, the amazing one, the all rounder.
    It’s a beautiful composition β™₯️
