Poetry, Writer life

Thousands and millions, of excuse I make,
Just to steal some moments with you.
I look into your eyes, your beautiful browns,
And pour my heart out to you.

I spend my days writing poems and letters,
All glorifying how amazing you are.

Your deep hoarse voice, so sweet to my ears.
And when I hold your hands, I feel a fire ignite.

So, place your delicate, soft lips on mine,
Make me yours, now in this moment.

But please don’t promise a forever together,
This is just pure lust, not love!

For NaPoWriMo Day 15.

      1. Absolutely
It’s because some people including me find it difficult to share their feelings with someone
I haven’t told my parents yet that I have a crush
        It’s kinda hars

      2. If you don’t tell her, someone else will. And you can write sad poems! 💔💔 So, don’t waste time and tell her. ❣️

      3. I guess you’re right
I never thought of it that way
It’s just because some parents in our tradition don’t accept it
But I think you are right
Thank you very dear for giving me this wonderful advice

      4. The guy I love isn’t even from my country. I’m gonna have a tough time convincing my parents. 🤣🤣 Wish you all the best. ❣️

      5. Thank you very much dear
        Same to you too
She’s actually in the same class i attend
And the only reason I miss school is because I want to see her
Because i had a tough time having good friends and she was super kind and nice to me
Thank you very much for sharing your time

        hm nhi samajhte💕

  1. Well written, Shreya! Your descriptive phrasing builds the anticipation for the reader, and your closing forces them to think past accepted outcomes or thinking. And all this held in the moment of one kiss. So proud of you!

  2. Have you tried your hand at sonnets? I’m quite confident you would be amazing at those… I love your twists – every time. As for ‘this’ being lust – I think I know something about that. Check my story starting with #One to know what I mean. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much Ben! I think I should give it a try. And about your spidy series, I’ve read it dear and loved it. ❣️🤗🤗😘😘😘

      1. I would love to write about the fragrance of chai but I know you’re more into coffee. Maybe we can write a funny comparison of the two

  3. To ravish the rose with lust is why thorns grew, to lessen the touch….Beautiful expression of honesty in this confession…LOL. Your writing is very engaging…much love

  4. You’re an amazing writer, Shreya. The more I read, the more I love your writings. This is pure love towards your work….not lust 😉❤️

      1. It’s my pleasure to listen these words. But I love to write in hindi. My english is not as great as yours. If you could understand hindi you feel my words.

      2. हार्दिक आभार बंधु आपका आशा करता हूँ आपको और भी अच्छी कविताओं का संग्रह अवश्य प्राप्त होगा। वैसे मेरी अंग्रेजी थोड़ी कमजोर है। 🙏

    1. Thank you so much for dropping by. I really didn’t mean to give a blow in your face, just was portraying what life does to us time and again. I hope you enjoyed it. Much love. ❤️🤗😘
