Truly You!

Poetry, Writer life

Be,
Not perfect,
Just truly you.

Follow,
Not trend,
Just your heart.

Dance,
Your move,
Not to impress.

Sing,
Your heart,
Just for yourself.

You,
Believe me,
Are truly special.

Don’t
Kill yourself,
Being someone else.

  1. You have written to this form flawlessly! You have used the flow and form to highlight and empower the simple phrasing this form requires. Each stanza is powerful on its own, but together, they are woven in to a verse of true beauty! Well written, little one! ❤💕😘

    1. That’s an amazing advice. But I think sometimes it’s okay to blurt it out. To say you’re confused and not confident, after all no one can always be confident. 😬😬❣️

      1. Oh ya. of course! But the world can be a hard place. So you need your own safe space to let out your weaknesses. But then you have to pull yourself together and be strong by the time your feet hit the street!

  2. Wonderful and hopeful words shared dear Poet. I agree. Old wise saying. “Better to walk the path unmarked and free of footprints. Seek the things you need, be part of our word, not controlled by her.”
