Life’s Like A River

Poetry, Writer life

Like a river flowing,
Life must keep going.
You may pause a little at the dam,
But can’t stay there forever man!
Sometimes it might take a slower pace,
Sometimes it could be a race,
And pebbles and rocks on the way,
Just make it a beautiful journey.

While there’s a single destination
That comes to all naturally,
Don’t take the flow for granted,
You may also dry away.

Note: Happiest Poetry Month to all. Laziness told me that Day 2 would be fashionably late. But, Sumit told me, there’s still an hour left. Thank you so much for the push dear friend. I wouldn’t have written it if it weren’t for your encouragement. Cheers to beating laziness and being on time!

  2. I didn’t know about the writing challenge, but I have posted a poem everyday for seven months. Can I join the club? 😁 Seriously, that is a great challenge to take on. It does not always produce our best works, but it does help to build a common ritual of devoting time to your art. Loved your poem and wishing you the best! ❤

  3. This is a wonderful piece and so true we have to always keep pushing and don’t fight against the flow of life but let it guide and believe in the journey.
